Just a thought. If a person is truly Pro Life shouldn't they be totally thrilled to see a large family? You would think that being pro life would mean that you accept and value ALL life, not just the lives that you think make sense. Just because you choose not to have a large family or think you can't handle it, does that make it wrong for others to do so? I am constantly amazed at the number of people that I know who claim to be pro life, but seem very irritated or displeased by the fact that we have so many children. Seriously...do my children keep anyone else from going on with life in the exact same way they were before they knew us? We may have a small home with shared bedrooms, we may not have a lot of extra luxury items, and we may only have one vehicle, but that is our choice. We choose these precious lives over all the other so called comforts, conveniences and luxuries there are. We are the ones raising, feeding, nurturing, doctoring, loving and catechising them. Why should that bother anyone else? Why? Am I missing something? Just curious.

Love your pro life comments. Yes, I believe you are right, people who are pro life neeed to rejoice with large families! Here in Pittsburgh we are very blessed with many large families but unfortunately they do get negative comments sometimes. I wonder if people are defensive? or jealous? We have a beautiful family of nine children at our parish, our priest describes them as missionaries because they live the faith. God bless you and your family, love your shop, I will stop by again, thank you for your beautiful witness to the faith
